Common File System Issues
Corrupt file system
systemd প্রথমে file system repair করার চেষ্টা করে। যদি problem severe হয় এবং automatic fix সম্ভব না হয়, তাহলে system emergency shell-এ চলে যায়।
Non-existent device or UUID
referenced in /etc/fstab
systemd কিছু সময় অপেক্ষা করে device available হওয়ার জন্য। নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে device না পাওয়া গেলে timeout হইলে system emergency shell-এ চলে যায়।
Non-existent mount point
in /etc/fstab
System সরাসরি emergency shell-এ চলে যায়।
Incorrect mount option
specified in /etc/fstab
System emergency shell-এ চলে যায়।
Note:
Emergency shell ব্যবহার করে file-system সমস্যা ঠিক করার সময় /etc/fstab edit করার পরে systemctl daemon-reload চালাতে ভুলবেন না। এই reload না করলে systemd পুরোনো configuration ব্যবহার করতে পারে।
The nofail option
/etc/fstab-এর কোনো entry-তে nofail option দিলে, সেই file system mount না হলেও system boot চালিয়ে যায়।
Sample:
/dev/sdb1 /data xfs defaults,nofail 0 0
এর মানে: /data mount fail হলেও system boot বন্ধ হবে না।
accroding to redhat guidelines:
সাধারণ অবস্থায়
nofailব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়।
কারণ:
- application storage ছাড়া start হতে পারে
- data corruption বা application failure হতে পারে
- গুরুতর সমস্যা দেখা দিতে পারে
অর্থাৎ nofail মূলত optional/noncritical storage-এর জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়।
